This place is a gem and ended up being our best food experience in Salzburg (by far!!!).
I recommend making a reservation as they do get busy. The place was lovely! It had a rustic and cozy vibe, which we loved.
We started with a pumpkin soup, which I think was exceptionally good. As opposed to most pumpkin soups, it was not sweet forward, but rather savory. I got their beef goulash, which was very comforting, with reach beef flavors. We also went adventurous and got their venison ragout. This was also a dish that was very new to us and a divine combination. Venison was cooked along fruits and presented perfectly: a sweet and savory combination and very seasonal.
Even though we were very full at this point, we thought it would be a shame not to try their sweets and we ended up being so glad that we did! Their sweet dumpling with stewed plum was so fantastic that we still talk about it!
Overall, the place is a must if you are in Salzburg.
We had a late dinner of goulash and mixed green salad along with Stiegl beer after arriving in town from Vienna. We stayed at the Imlauer Pitter hotel and it was a pleasant surprise to have this restaurant at our fingertips. Everything was great. It was a quiet evening since we were dining late, but there were 2 full tables of locals which is always a good sign!
Interesting restaurant that serves Austrian food. I was surprised that the boiled beef dish tasted nice and was not bland at all, so food were really good. Price wise is decent. I tried the dessert but maybe would skip it next time, just because of personal preferences. The waiters were also kind and attentive.
Great restaurant with delicious food and a cosy atmosphere. We ordered the ribs and burger which were very filling. We had the norkel for dessert. Our waitress was lovely 😊
Amazing restaurant! Cannot recommend it enough! We came on Christmas evening and they managed to fit us in. Our waitress named Lisa was absolutely wonderful and her service made our experience a 10/10. Thank you Lisa! The food came quickly and was delicious. If in the area, make sure to check it out!
We went on Christmas Eve for dinner. There was a special menu. Let's discuss desserts. You get 4 small desserts, and they are unique and delicious. The meals were ok bland. The wine was fantastic. We tried three of the reds and enjoyed them all. Service was great, very friendly, and knowledgeable.
No wonder my tour leader recommend this place. Came with no reservation at busy hour dinner time, their service and hospitality flawless. Great Austrian traditional food! Goulash soup and pork ribs were amazing.
Nice atmosphere and genuine Austrian restaurant. I would have liked some sauce or gravy to the schnitzel
